Meal Program

A large percentage of Jabez students do not have enough food, which directly impacts learning and attendance.

We believe that providing a daily at Jabez School, for all students and staff will be of benefit to children, the staff and the organization. Initially, we are proposing offering a daily meal of flavored Power Gari.

We would like to provide a basic, but healthy lunch at school. Power Gari is a fortified and flavored hot cereal, which is grown and produced locally. The initial cost estimate to provide a meal, 5 times per week, for all students and teachers is approximately $500.00 per month. The Local School Administration is investigating the possibility of starting an agriculture and garden program to help feed students as well as provide local revenue for operating expenses.
